Dr. Herman Grewal – Medical Director

Dr. Grewal is a practicing Physician and the Medical Director for AFC Urgent Care in The Vintage and The Heights. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He completed his Medical Training through Ross University School of Medicine and his Residency through Doctors’ Hospital of Michigan.

He is passionate about the well-being of patients, with a focus on both acute complaints and the management of chronic conditions, such as Hypertension and Diabetes. Other area of medicine which he works within includes Pediatrics, Women’s Health, Basic Dermatology and Preventative Care. He has spent time in many different clinical settings, including Ambulatory Clinic, Urgent Care, Senior Living Facilities and the Emergency Room.

In his spare time, Dr. Grewal loves spending time with his wife and children, and enjoying many of the activities that Houston has to offer.

 

Becky Rick – Physician Assistant 

Becky Rick began her career by spending almost 20 years as a ground and flight paramedic and then changed careers at the age of 40.

She is now a State and Nationally Certified Physician Assistant. She completed her Physician Assistant training at Des Moines University and then completed a two year Emergency Medicine PA Residency at Alderson Broaddus and West Virginia University. She has spent the majority of her PA career practicing Emergency Medicine in Minnesota and Texas.

She believes in caring for the whole patient, no matter what the issue and loves the ability to care for patients of all ages. She feels that education is a key factor in patient compliance, and if a patient is educated on their illness and why they are taking the medication they are given or treatment they are recommended, they are more likely to be compliant.

Rick has been married for 42 years to her high school sweetheart Randy and in her spare time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, and her four dogs.

 

Annie Robertson – MSN RN ENP 20160803_123230

Annie Robertson has been a board certified Emergency Nurse Practitioner for 19 years.  She is a graduate from University of Texas Health Science Center Houston in 1998 with Masters Degree and University of Texas Medical Branch Galveston Texas with a Bachelors Degree. The majority of her work experience is in the emergency department, as well as having worked in rural medicine and urgent care settings . She is a Adjunct Professor at UT Houston and teaches post graduate Family Nurse Practitioner students emergency medicine for Emergency Nurse Practitioner certification.

Robertson loves spending time with her patients educating them about their illness, medications and treatment and any other aspects of there healthcare they might need assistance with. She is originally from Lawtell, Louisiana and loves Cajun food. She has been married to Andrew Robertson for many years.  She also has children and grandchildren that she loves spending time with.
